Research downtown Elgin, the Elgin Depot Museum, local shops and dining. Confirm current operator hours, parking, accessibility and any admission charge. Markets and festivals require current organizer information; an older Thursday schedule is not an event confirmation. Plan groceries and RV supplies around actual store hours and holiday closures.
For Bastrop State Park, check official alerts, trails, programs, reservations and seasonal pool information. Pool access requires a separate ticket; Bastrop-area Colorado River paddling is a separate outing, not kayaking inside the state park. For McKinney Roughs, check LCRA’s current activities, access, fees and participant requirements; do not assume guided activities are included with admission.
For Austin, research the specific museum, restaurant, Capitol visit, COTA event or other venue using current operator information. For Typhoon Texas, use its current address and operating calendar rather than an old neighborhood description. Check Blue Hole reservations and restrictions, Enchanted Rock trail and pet rules, and Pedernales Falls permitted activity areas before a Hill Country outing. Do not assume waterfalls are swimming access or every destination is nearby.
Plan outdoor activities around actual weather and access notices. A particular morning hour or weekday does not guarantee safe heat conditions, low crowds or an open attraction.
Give management the arrival and departure dates, RV length and height, slides, electrical needs, occupants, pets, vehicles and any trailer. Confirm the available site’s fit, connections, approach, parking and arrival instructions before traveling. Ask management about the approval requirements for your rig before payment.
Request an itemized quote covering rent, utilities, taxes, deposits, extra people or vehicles and other fees. Confirm the billing period, minimum stay and extension process. Discuss internet coverage, laundry access and charges, mail arrangements, quiet hours and support contacts rather than assuming free services, prompt maintenance, guaranteed security or restful nights.
Every monthly reservation requires a $75 deposit. A deposit refund requires a written request within 3 days of departure, a photo showing the site left clean and management approval. Confirm the correct park email before sending a request.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to the park. Cancellation 14 or more days before scheduled arrival qualifies for a full rent refund under the refund policy; cancellation less than 14 days before arrival and no-shows do not. Guests may request rescheduling, but approval is not guaranteed. Once a stay begins, all lot rent is non-refundable, including early departure or a shortened stay. Refunds go to the original payment card, not by check; if that card is lost, cancelled or no longer active, the park cannot process the refund. Confirm separate platform charges and existing reservation terms with management.
The previously published RV guidance requires approval and exterior photos for RVs ten years or older; confirm current requirements directly before payment.
Keep the accepted quote, complete rules, reservation confirmation and arrival instructions together. Reconfirm if the dates, rig, occupants or services change. A reservation does not establish an employer partnership, an available job, a guaranteed commute, savings or an extension.
